TRAINING & SUPPORT
The foundation of any stellar cafe is outstanding coffee. We partner with a host of cafes and retail businesses to ensure consistently delicious brews.
Fortitude Bakehouse
Nestled on a quiet cobbled mews in leafy Bloomsbury, Fortitude Bakehouse would be described as a hidden gem if it wasn’t so perpetually popular. Frequently appearing in ‘Best London’ and ‘Best UK’ bakery lists, Fortitude was founded by Dee Rettali and Jorge Fernandez, who set out to bring an entirely different type of baking to the city when they first swung open their large wooden doors in 2018.
The approach that Dee and her team of bakers take is unique in that it makes cakes from sourdough. This requires attention throughout the week, and there’s barely an hour of any given day that there isn’t at least one baker on site tending to the various batters, doughs and mothers. This time consuming process yields incredible results, helping to create an incredible depth of flavour in the final products, which are enjoyed by hundreds of queueing customers each day.
You can now find our seasonal single origin coffees in the hoppers at Fortitude throughout the week. Espresso is made on their custom-pained La Marzocco Linea PB, and a rotating range of single origin filter coffees are always available as batch brew. We also worked with the team to create bespoke 250g retail coffee bags, which are available to take home.
Bluebird Brothers
Located just a couple of minutes from London’s Clapham Junction station, Kyri and the team at Bluebird Brothers have been serving exceptional coffee to regulars since 2019.
A family-run business, Bluebird Brothers have placed an enormous emphasis on quality since day one, ensuring their kiosk and café area is continually serving up exceptional coffees seven days a week. As well several deliveries each week, we’ve enjoyed spending time with the team via roastery visits, and cuppings and tastings. An opportunity to offer more information on our ethos and approach, and how they inform the coffees they serve each day, it’s also provided a great opportunity to meet with their customers as well as hear about the positive impact of a new large outdoor seating area, which has only increased their daily visitors.
From 5-star luxury to boutique, we work closely with our hotel partners to ensure their bespoke wholesale coffee programmes are dialled-in across all service areas.
Raffles London at The OWO
Raffles’ first UK hotel is built on the historic royal site of Whitehall Palace, an impressive Edwardian building that played host to world-shaping events and decisions in the 20th Century.
Following a 6-year transformation, Raffles London at The Old War Office has opened its beautiful and ornate doors to guests and visitors, and provides a host of elegant and contemporary experiences across 120 rooms, and several restaurants, dining rooms, bars and cafes.
Ahead of their 2023 opening, Workshop Coffee worked closely with Raffles London’s food, beverage and operations teams to advise, deliver and install all coffee brewing equipment and machinery across their front- and back-of-house areas. Together, we’ve curated a menu of single origin coffees and blend concepts that speak to each of their unique spaces across the 120-room hotel.
Guests and visitors can enjoy Workshop Coffee across the hotel. From the first coffee of the day in the naturally lit atrium of Saison restaurant, to an afternoon espresso in their beautiful and opulent Drawing Room or Guard’s Bar, espresso and filter are served throughout the hotel. Our espresso also fills the hoppers of their beautiful and serene health and wellbeing-focused cafe, Pillar Kitchen.
The Langham
We’ve been lucky to call The Langham neighbours since we opened the doors to our Fitzrovia Coffeebar in 2015. As well as welcoming members of the team to our Mortimer Street space on a daily basis, we also ensure they are serving the best coffee possible across the 380-room hotel.
Originally opened on London’s Portland Place in 1865, The Langham is famed for its emphasis on providing luxury experiences to guests, and for their perfect balance of British heritage and modern elegance. We’re proud to be responsible for ensuring this is reflected in their coffee offering throughout the hotel and across the day.
From in-room coffee options and breakfast service to espresso-based drinks in The Wigmore Restaurant or their private lounge, we’ve worked closely with The Langham’s team to deliver best-in-class coffee equipment. Operating across numerous locations throughout the day, our coffee and machinery sections allow for consistent, efficient and – most importantly – exceptional coffee experiences at every touchpoint.
This is supported by ongoing training and support with the team. As with all of our wholesale partners, we host regular on-site and off-site trainings with new and existing team members, covering everything from coffee theory to espresso and milk skills.
The punctuation point to any great meal, we support Michelin-starred chefs and quality-focused restaurants in delivering exceptional coffee experiences.
Wild Honey St. James
Following London’s bustling Regent Street, past the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus and towards the river, you’ll make your way onto Haymarket, which in turn gives way to Pall Mall. Here you’ll find Wild Honey St. James, the brainchild of Chef-Patron, Anthony Demetre.
Set within a former banking hall, Demetre and his team focus on delivering modern European dishes that are equal parts refined and generous. The subject of continuous acclaim from fans, critics and peers alike – Pierre Kouffmann has described Wild Honey as “serving some of the best food in the city” – the level to which the team are continually performing was recently recognised with the awarding of their first Michelin star.
Workshop Coffee has worked with Anthony to ensure he and the Wild Honey team are serving a rotating range of single origin espressos for diners throughout the year. Alongside offering a cup to cap off a meal, we have also worked with the restaurant and wider hotel, Sofitel St. James, to offer our whoe bean coffee across all service areas and home compostable capsules in each of the 183 rooms and suites. With no stone left unturned, our coffee can also be found in Wild Honey’s dishes, including their decadent chocolate tart dessert and its smooth, silken custard.

Great coffee, great people, fantastic service.
We are fastidious about what we put in front of our guests whether that is the restaurant or hotel. Coffee on the whole is an area that most operators in hotels overlook. That is certainly not the case here at Wild Honey St James. Coffee is as important as any other product that reaches the table. Having a close relationship with the team at Workshop enables us to achieve that level of quality, detail and consistency.
We've been using Workshop Coffee for almost 5 years and couldn't be happier. The quality of coffee is consistently high and tastes delicious. From the green beans, roasting process to the packaged end product, the quality is always there. The service provided is friendly and very responsive. We have a great relationship.
