The grinder itself makes use of burrs from home grinder stalwarts, Baratza. Their integrated European Precision hardened steel burrs offer 30 precision grind settings and, with a single touch, allow you to control and deliver the right amount of ground coffee on demend. This can be pre-programmed for those looking for automation, or run manually for those looking to monitor their dose for every espresso shot.
An additional degree of control is provided by the Sage Barista Pro versus its sibling, the Sage Barista Express Impress. An intuitive interface with volumetric shot control displays all the information required to hone and perfect your espresso extraction. You can choose between 1 and 2 shot options, or manually control the process to ensure you're hitting your chosen recipe every time.
A low pressure pre-infusion, followed by a high pressure (9 bar) extraction delivered via a 15 bar Italian pump aids in delivering perfectly pulled shots consistently. This is supported by the machine's Thermocoil heating system with PID temperature control, which provides water at exactly 93ºC for perfectly balanced flavours.
