Story

We’re excited to be the first to introduce Jake Green’s new book, Beber Mi Sudor, produced in collaboration with Nordic Approach.

Translating as ‘drink my sweat’, this full-colour documentary photography book brings together a collection of beautiful images from Colombia. Offering a striking glimpse into the local people and communities, it documents the hard work and processes behind the reality of producing coffee.

Amongst the portraits and interviews, Hernando Gomez features prominently. We've bought, roasted and just released two lots of his coffee for the first time and are hoping to further galvanise that relationship by visiting his farm near Planadas, Tolima later in the year.

You can read more on Hernando's coffee here and purchase the book and accompanying coffees as a set here.

Colour, vibrancy, movement and emotion jump out of the photographs so Jake took the decision to make the book itself feel transient and changeable. Bound with a red band, it can be easily pulled apart into its component images or reordered according to your tastes. Using the contents to decorate your walls are as encouraged as placing it proudly on your coffee table. Wherever it ends up, Beber Mi Sudor is a beautiful book to own.
