As the last days of summer approached, we wanted to celebrate our customers and the coffee community with a creative gathering at Brunswick East, Dalston, in partnership with Oatly.

The evening centred around a pottery workshop led by the talented ceramist Hephzibah Roe. Known for her functional, everyday pottery, Hephzibah brought her expertise and easygoing nature to guide us in crafting our own espresso cups. Hand-built and later fired with a Workshop green glaze, each creation was stamped with the Oatly x Workshop Coffee stamp, serving as a memento of the night.

There was laughter, shared concentration, and the chance to make a bit of mess.

By the time the workshop wrapped up, we indulged in Oatly soft serve and Workshop Cold Brew slushies. Combined, they became the float no one knew they needed. Brunswick East provided delicious snacks, including a rooftop-sourced lemon verbena and plum syrup to top the soft serve. We chatted with friends and fellow industry folks, swapping stories of the year and the memorable cups of coffee we’d shared.

It was a final nod to summer and a reminder that the best moments often come from the simplest pleasures.
